These suggestions may not interest you for a variety of reasons including cost, but my wish list would include:

NAD M2
Olive music server
Vaughn speakers
Acoustic Zen Crescendos
Grant Fidelity integrated
Anything from Van Alstine

Geddes speakers (I believe they make finished versions).
New Van Alstine tube amp
Series 2 from Bambergaudio.com (I think that's the name of their lower cost speaker)
New Zu speakers (the small ones)
Epik subwoofers.
New NHT speakers (I hear they are back in business).

Some decent in-wall speakers or a decent HT system with small, high-WAF speakers.

How about a look at the Jolida FX10? At $400 - $450 street, it certainly is affordable, and given its feature set and power output (remote control, multiple inputs, small footprint, remote control, 10 tubed watts). Might make for an interesting comparison between it and the Miniwatt?

I would like to see a review of the the ClassD amps also.

I would also like to see a cheap and cheerful type complete computer system for less than a certain amounts of money, say under $1000, $800, $600 or less. Complete meaning, assuming all of us own a computer and use it as a source that would not be included in the price threshold, a music server, DAC, DAC/pre-amp/or/integrated, speaker combo and even cables. What I find interesting and helpful is when some one finds synergy between pieces of equipment that perform above their price point.

This would be a good exercise for a starter system or a secondary system.

KRK Ergo - PRE/dac/Room correction

does most of what units from TACT and LYNGDORF do for a tenth of the price. Definitely should be reviewed as Affordable Audio

just bought one. i sold my lyngdorf rp-1 room correction device on agon last year. it did a great job and i really liked it. but after dialing in my system it didn't seem like room correction was that pressing of a need anymore and couldn't justify the price. when krk came out with a cheaper version of the lyngdorf system i jumped in. should have it up and running soon.

That model was the Excalibur.

Another vote for the Maverick D1 dac/pre - don't bother with the stock tube, though - go for the upgrade option NOS tube. Another competitive product could be the Matrix Mini-i.
