I visited Iceland many times when I was in the Navy from 1986-1991. Two of my visits were 3 months long. I loved my time up there. The Sugarcubes were popular at the time, but they didn't play in Reykjavík during that time or I would have seen them. As far as very northern/southern locations go, Iceland was one of my favorites. One of the gate guards at our Navy base was a runner-up for Miss Iceland on my last visit!
I became a big Björk fan after seeing the video for "Human Behaviour". "Debut" was a game changer for me!
Yeah, the rotten shark buried under gravel is something most people should never smell. I never got that close to it, but you sure could smell it .....
Hey!
That's so cool. I'd love to spend 3 months in Iceland. I was there in 2015 before it became even more popular, even than there were many new taller hotel buildings starting popping up.
Yup, the first time I noticed Bjork was when I first saw her "Human Behavior" music video late at night on MTV... yeah, back in the day when MTV was actually showing music video. "Debut" is also a favorite of mine, great album.... love the album cover on that one.
