Hey!
Love that album! I have it on UK pressing LP I picked up when the album came out. One of my favorite from her and one of my all time favorite. I like the whole album but "Isobel" is such a beautiful song, also love the music video of that song... she was so pretty in that one
I saw her perform live here in NYC at the Carnegie Hall back in early 2015 when she released her "Vulnicura" album. I also went to see MoMA's retrospective exhibition of her that year also. It was super cool to see her Swan dress and etc for sure. They were showing her music videos from that album shot in Iceland in the exhibition, and that inspired me to go to Iceland the following year 2016 for a week. It was great! And I even had a little piece of the rotten shark meat while I was there. I'll definitely go there again someday
Buddy
I visited Iceland many times when I was in the Navy from 1986-1991. Two of my visits were 3 months long. I loved my time up there. The Sugarcubes were popular at the time, but they didn't play in Reykjavík during that time or I would have seen them. As far as very northern/southern locations go, Iceland was one of my favorites. One of the gate guards at our Navy base was a runner-up for Miss Iceland on my last visit!
I became a big Björk fan after seeing the video for "Human Behaviour". "Debut" was a game changer for me!
Yeah, the rotten shark buried under gravel is something most people should never smell. I never got that close to it, but you sure could smell it .....
