Output Current of 4BSST and 14BSST

Are the output current figures, say, how many amps peak per channel, available for the above amps? I searched through the manual but couldn't find any.

And speaking of output current are there differences between 110V and 220V models in this regard?

About 110v/220v: Since the stated output power is the same, the output current is also the same.

The question remains, can James provide the answer? I am just curious since some speakers are better served by high current amplifier, not necessary high /w per channel.

Hi James;

The various amplifiers have different current capacities from their outputs. The 3B SST, for instance, is capable of about 38-40 Amps peak per channel, the 4B SST can deliver about 50 Amps peak, the 7B SST and the 14B SST are capable of 60 Amperes. The smaller amplifiers, including the 2B LP, the B-60 and the 2B SST can deliver about 25 Amps peak. The 9B SST can deliver about 35 Amps per channel. In each case, this allows full current into loads as low as 1.5 Ohms.

I think the C Series looks absolutely marvelous, just that we have to pay a premium for it over the non C-Series SST, at least for where I live.

Agreed. BUT no photos on Bryston's site of 4b sst C series without handles... Go guess what faceplates without handles in black look like... As if looks should not matter to consumers AT ALL.
