2B input impedance
« on: 30 Jun 2005, 10:34 am »
I've been considering the 2B-SST (and 2B-LP) for replacing my current amps--but ran into a bit of trouble when I saw the low impedance on the unbalanced input (one of my pre-amps, single-ended, wants >25k).

Just want to check these numbers:
Does it make sense that the specs read, 2B-SST input impedance, 10K unbalanced/15K balanced.   *higher balanced*

But the 3B-SST is 50K unbalanced/20K balanced.  *higher unbalanced* ?

Thanks.....

2B input impedance

Hi,

The Balanced  input has 10k to ground from each leg, or effectively 20k.

Single ended input uses the same non inverting input leg, but the inverting input is grounded. so the input impedance is 10k.

We can modify the channels of a 2B SST to be 25k or 50k if needed.
