Grohl does seem to be a really nice guy. He had a cable series a few years ago, the name of which escapes me, but it was about him and the band touring, and how he would explore the cities they were playing in, meet local musicians, check out local haunts and such. It was a fun show.

I just watched the first episode of Sonic Highways, that was really good.

Sound  City is a great story of Dave saving a piece of recording history.  One of the best recording mixers ever made and the story of the Sound City recording studio.
