My Daughter and SIL took my Granddaughter to a water park yesterday, so no progress was made. Today, we finished sanding the panels and we primed the inside of them. Included is a link to a 5 sec vid of her being awesome. Give it a few seconds to load once you clicked the link.

They had wood shop (and metal shop) when I was in middle school. It's too bad they stopped doing that.

LOL! Yeah, I'm a third generation tinkerer. My grandfather, who sadly passed away when I was just 6 years old (I'm 53 now) was missing at least one half a finger as was my great uncle and at least one of my uncles. My father and I have been fortunate (so far - knock on wood).

Gotta love some good fortune. Glad to hear you have all yer digits.

Update time. We spent about 15 minutes this morning soldering the already twisted together wires on the xovers. I planned 30 minutes, but she paid attention and listened and picked it fairly quick. So proud.

Thank You HAL. So far we are enjoying the process. I realized I made a mistake by skipping around in the xover assembly vid and not catching doing the layout on the board before soldering. So I have found a spot inside that has a little more room for a larger xover board. There would have been an update today had I not made that mistake.

I am about to start a thread on my A/V-1RS speaker build, and I did exactly that (laid it out beforehand) if you want to get some inspiration.

It has been a couple of days since the last update. Xovers are mounted to their boards, and mounted on an inside panel. We glued together the back panel and one side panel of each cabinet.

This reminds me of "Bob from Saint Luis". He and his daughter Abbie built her speakers.
Loved that series of posts as well as these. Keep up the great posts, they are a joy.
And yes I've never soldered in my life so this young lady is more talented than I.
