RIP, Tom T. Hall
« on: 24 Aug 2021, 04:14 am »
I'm not a big country fan but growing up my folks were really into it, so we kids were too! :thumb:  Tom T Hall was one of the first musicians I can ever remember hearing.  His music reminds me of the simplest time in my life, surrounded by those I loved and without a care in the world.  He passed away late last week at age 85, having lived a very long life with a very long, distinguished career.  His passing kind of marks the end of an era for me.  RIP, Mr. Hall!

Same here growing up.

Tom T. Hall told stories that I understood when I was little. Not sure my parents understood that's why I liked him.

Rest in Peace Tom, you did a great job.

I never understood or appreciated when I was young just how much social commentary he made and how much insight into the human condition he had.
