CDT-8 Pro Feet
« on: 16 Jul 2021, 09:27 am »
Really enjoy the CDT-8 Pro but I have one issue.  Over time all the metal caps on the CDT-8 feet have fallen off.  Is this an issue?  Is it OK to leave them off or does it affect the isolation of the unit.?  Thanks in advance.

Do you mean the silicone tip of the feet ? Can you show a photo?
If it is just the cover of the feet then it doesn't matter.

It is just the metal covers that go over the rubber.  See picture attached.  Based on your comment I think that you're confirming no issue with these covers off.  Correct?

That's just for the look only, it is the two-section silicone feet that provides the anti-vibration (the tiny round tip and the base have different stiffness).  You can glue the metal cover back.  It is the first time I heard that it has fallen off.

I can't say that's happened with mine, though I haven't touched anything but its buttons since first setting it up, well over a year ago.

My DAC9, CDT8 and two STA9 feet are all fell off. OEM should use better heat resistance glue.
