Emotionally Charged Songs

Two Songs that if you can get yourself into a lover's state of mind can send chills up your spine with emotion.:bawl:

Without You by Harry Nilsson and Unchained Melody (I Need Your Love) by Righteous Brothers.

I suppose you could add First Time I Ever Saw Your Face by Roberta Flack and The Sound Track from the movie Love Story does it for me as well.

'Jason Isbell - If We Were Vampires' is a pretty good one too

The Adagio from Barber's String Quartet, Op.11, either in its original form, or in his much better-known orchestrated version.

Here's a couple more along the lines of your examples.

Glenn Aitken - The Way

Ambrosia - Holding On To Yesterday

Although if you listen to the words, closely, it may not work the way you want.  Maybe this one:

Dan Fogelberg - Since You Asked

Sorry none of other songs mentioned do it for me. But that is just my IMO.

I thought I would get input like 'To Sir, With Love' by Lulu, movie version, 'Those Were the Days' by Mary Hopkins. Another song where I saw my friend tear up 'Dancing, with Tears in My Eyes' by Ultravox.

:thumb: The others are good as well, just not as good for me.

Not sure these fit the bill, but throw them out for consideration - Wicked Game by Chris Isaac, I Only Have Eyes for You by The Flamingos.

  • To whom more was given more will be required.
    • Never go to a psychiatrist, adopt a straycat or dog. On the street they live only two years average.

Bent Cold Sidewalk have the slowest vocoder introduction I have seen, the synthesizers sound as electric saw among other details made this song a Prog Rock classic:

The next song on this Tange album also have strong vocals:
>> Rising Runner Missed By Endless Sender

Bent Cold Sidewalk - Tangerine Dream
When I talk to the trees
O great trees who have learned to speak slowly
I know that they believe that they have an answer
Then I walk in the city where I cannot hear it
When I talk to the city
I have already learned three answers
Before I call the question
And slowly, I wish myself among trees
But can not hear myself wishing
When I talk to the people
Who are the trees that grow in the city
They reply with a fond kindness, slowly
But there is no answer
For experience to be made by mistake
Upon this key, time will slide,
Beyond the lock, you lose your mind.
And as our door becomes open,
A rush of sound is found inside
Creating dreams that pass you by.
You may live through your life a long long time
But you will never know from where it came,
Yet all you've seen…
