as some have said, too many to remember or list.

my first show was as a 3-4 grader at Chicago's Ravinia Field. my parents took me to see Ike and Tina Turner.
the first concert i paid for was in Chattanooga Tn with Rush warming up for Kansas. it should have been the
other way around.

the best times i had were always at smaller venues...
X at Club Foot in Austin
The Big Boys or The Dicks at Raul's in Austin

the most amazing performances would be either:
a night with Frank Zappa & the Mothers in Dallas   -and-
Muddy Waters in Austin. he warmed up for Clapton. sitting on a stool he mesmerized the crowd and
put Clapton's later performance to shame.

Not quite as many concerts as GregC above, but I did see a lot of shows back in the 70s, my favorite was Jethro Tull on their Thick as a Brick tour June 11, 1972. The week before, on June 4th I saw the Rolling Stones at the same venue, and the week after, June 19th, Led Zeppelin, but it was Tull that really blew the roof off of the Seattle Center Coliseum. The Mahavishnu Orchestra a few months later was another exceptional concert experience. I have to say that for me, 1972 was the peak year for live music, and I was just a 16 year old kid.

Yikes.  Impressive attendance for sure for some in this thread.  Can only say I'm in awe.

My list... a fraction.  With that said,  these two for me were just superior in all respects.  So good in fact I would see them weekly for the next ten years if possible.

Been to my share of concerts, but one stands out because of it's "Shock & Awe" factor.
A friend of mine had some tickets he couldn't use, so he offered them to me.
It was to a Pink Floyd concert.
I had heard of the group but was not familiar with their music.
He said "trust me" and I scooped up the tickets.

The seats turned out to be 4th row, dead center.
It was the "Dark Side of the Moon" tour.
My wife and I were TOTALLY blown away with this musical tour de force.
Never had such an unexpected concert experience.....

Not sure where to post this -

We did a Beatles Tribute gig last Saturday night.
Big crowd and was a lot of fun!!
These are a couple of guitars I used - Rickenbacker 381V69 and Taylor Fall Limited Koa.
Also used my trusty Rickenbacker 1993Plus 12-string for a lot of those George Harrison riffs!

@Slam - re: the Wild Tchoupitoulas ...

Only took me 43 days to answer  :duh:

So long ago, all I can recall was their wild costumes and their wildly infectious beat. EVERYBODY was up and dancing - even ME! (I never dance in public).
They were terrific!
