 .  Hi all AC gals and guys.  So this is the question of the day. And it's a good one I really need to know.
            Is there a preamp built that Compares to the VAC Ren Sig MK2 .  I'm looking to re-set to hi fi.
           I had a MK 1 and thought I would down size.  Bad mistake. I'm a dumb ass I know.
         This pre had a killer phono and all in all a great piece. I'm pretty sure something out there
        is in the same ballpark.  You can buy one of these used for 5 or 6 grand. It's money well spent.
       But they are hard to find I'm thinking and looking for options. Any help THANKS.

I would look for a BAT VK 52se or a VK-33se.  Both excellent preamps.  You can get a 51se and a 32se for under $4K.  I own a 51se.  Here is a great review on it from Stereophile in 2003, calling it one of the worlds best preamps.

What speakers are you running now?

 .  Mini T's .....   .     That VAC pre with its phono was kick ass.    I gotta say. 
            Can anything touch that unit ,,   Really ?
