George in the 70s I was stagnant in the short songs format mainly English and French songs as Beatles, Serge Gainsburg and Michel Polnareff.

So I listen this Soul Music master piece:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hcqs5z0yEl4
This put my mind in orbit, I regret beatles forever, this song is impressive even today.
Seems you are in the same position as me, hope this song may help you too.
Regards

Stunning performance when you consider she was probably 12.  I think she is currently a student at Curtis in Phila.  Kobayashi was one of ten finalists at the Warsaw XVII International Chopin Piano Competition of 452 entrants from 45 countries April 2015
