Pumpkinman - There are some excellent cuts on that CD  :thumb: ! (have had it for many years)

There is one male and one female blues singer whose voice really irritates me - John Mayall and Susan Foley. BUT, their music is so good, after only a minute or so of the first track, my irritation gets suspended and I end up thoroughly enjoying their recordings. So much so I have many CDs by them both and consider them among my very favorite blues performers. That said, and considering it is too early in the morning for me for electric blues, think I'll grab this one next:

Empty Rooms

I'm just the opposite where Mayall is concerned, I love his voice. The 1st album I ever bought was Union USA after that I acquired as many albums as I could get my hands on. I own more albums by Mayall than any other artist (and I own a lot of records LOL). Favorites are (1) Looking Back (2) The Blues Alone  and I'm not a big fan of some of his late 70's early 80's LPs but from 1989's Chicago Line to the present. "It's All Good"

I've been trying to locate my British Blues Archive Series.
I have volumes 1 thru 4 but I'll be damned if I know where
they are at the moment. Plus there is a double in the lot
but I don't remember which one.
Do you have all 4 LP's in the series ??

I only have Volume Two and that was my first listen since acquiring it at a thrift a few months ago. I'm usually not a fan of compilations, but I was very impress by the material on this one. Very good sound also. Leave it up to you to have all four volumes!  :icon_lol:
