RIP Mr. B.  As an correspondence alum of More Science High, and absent classmate of George Leroy Tyrebiter, I can only say his insights will be sorely missed at the next reunion.

Oh, blinding light
Oh, light divine
I can't see
Look out for me!

Oh, it ain't no use
if you ain't got the boost
The boost you get from Looseners
Looseners -- the all weather breakfast!

My kids have listened to (had to put up with) me singing these at odd moments throughout the years.

And by the way -- what's all this brouhaha?

This land is made of mountains
This land is made of mud
This land has lots of everything
For me and Elmer Fudd
This land has lots of trousers
This land has lots of mousers
And pussycats to eat them when the sun...goes... dowwwwwwnn!

Oh god I feel an attack of 'Bringing the War Back Home' coming on...

Brouhaha? Ha ha ha ha ha!

What a testament to what his humor and writing meant to so many people when you can recite lines like these out of the blue and someone will immediately finish the next line.

Porgy! Porgy Tirebiter! Coming mother........

You know, my ma always said,"You gotta start young if you're gonna stick it out!

Now, please, everyone lock your wigs, let the air out of your shoes, and prepare yourselves for a period of simulated exhileration. Everybody ready? Let's get in 'sync' for our Flight To The Future!

Mother:  Porgy! Porgy Tirebiter!

Porgy (from offstage, with a groan):  Coming, mother........

Mother:  He's so good with the servants.

(My apologies for slightly modifying AVnerdguy's post)

Mudhead: Is that what you're gonna do?

Porgy: Aw, hell no! Right after I graduate I'm going to cut the soles off my
shoes, sit in a tree, and learn to play the flute.
