Is there any sound advantage to the 21B3 over the 7B3 without the BAX-1 in a standard stereo setup.

Sorry Barry - not understanding - the 21B is a 3 channel amplifier with a 7B and a 4B on one chassis whereas the 7B is just a single mono channel.

I think Bryston will tell you there is. I havent heard their active set up, so I'm not in the position to argue otherwise.

Yes I see, I had another look at the BAX configuration and I see the pre goes into the BAX-1. There too many inputs on 21B3 to drive it just from a pre
