Showtime & Strikeforce has put together 6 of the top Heavyweight Mixed Martial Arts fighters in the world who are slated to fight each other for the Strikeforce Heavyweight Championship and it starts tonite from East Rutherford, New Jersey at 10pm est on Showtime with the 1st 2 matches.

1st up, the once considered unbeatable (until he tapped out in last summer's last fight on CBS against Fabricio Werdum) Russian phenom Fedor Emelianenko gives up 30 pounds as he takes on Brazilian Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva. Fedor will be trying to regain honor that he lost to the American audience in his last fight and the oddmakers are calling for Fedor in a 1st round knockout of the huge Brazilian.

The 2nd fight matches up Belarusian Andrei "The Pitbull" Arlovski against Sergei "The Russian Mercenary" Kharitonov in what's being called a "tossup" fight as both men have simular fighting styles and there's no clear favorite.

Out of this whole tourney, the 1 fight I'm dying to see will be April 9 when Pride's Heavyweight champion, the Dutch Alistair "The Reem" Overeem fights the man who finally beat Fedor, Brazilian Fabricio "Go Horse" Werdum in a site yet to have been announced (the rumor is Japan). Fabricio beat Overeem back in 2006 but Overeem has been nearly unbeatable ever since in Pride. The guy's a f**kin' animal in the ring and will be looking for both payback and same type of worldwide respect that Fabricio instantly got last summer when he tapped out Fedor.  :deadhorse:

The tournament action starts tonite, Feb 12 at 10pm est on Showtime!  :thumb:
