Sure, the M2Tech Young DSD, for example.  Very nice warm sound.

and the Musical Fidelity V90 dac for the budget minded. I have used one and can attest to its pleasant sound although limited to 24/96 files.

A bit o/t, but I hope someone appreciates this anecdote.

Many years ago, some guy (on some other forum) ripped us to shreds, for using BB DACs. According to him "they are all as bright as a screaming witch".

I asked him if he ever heard any of our gear, and if so, how could be come to that conclusion.

No, he hadn't, but our gear had to be bright, since all BB DACs are bright.

Punchline: we always used AD DACs.

I hope you do not have the misfortune of meeting this individual.

IMO the PCM-63K was perhaps the greatest D/A chip ever made.

The Channel Islands VDA-2, though in production for a long time, is a fantastic BB based DAC. I owned it for several years, and sometimes miss it. They show up on the used market at VERY tempting prices with the upgraded power supply here and there.

TEAC The UD-H01 is a dual digital/analogue converter containing two BurrBrown DAC chipsets (Type 1795) and a Tenor USB Audio Class 2 Interface. Thanks to the high-quality nature of these components, digital audio data from an external PC is converted to an analogue signal in high resolution Hi-Fi quality using up to 32 bit, 192 kHz asynchronous conversion technology

iFi Micro iDSD, $500 MSRP, PCM to 768, 2xDXD, DSD to 256, great soundstage, almost tube smooth sound, other sonic tweaks plus flexible headphone amp and very compact.  Review:

TEAC UD-501, MSRP of $895 (but can be had for around $750), uses a pair of Burr Brown PCM1795 32-bit DACs.  Excellent reviews that are spot on, imho:

I'm curious about the RAKK Dac - I believe it has a Burr Brown chipset.

I have the Onkyo PR-SC885 installed in my whole-house SMARTHOME 19” rack that has Burr-Browns, this Pre-Pro can decode DSD via HDMI. Would my Oppo BDP-105D DAC be a considerable upgrade or subtle?
