My 14 year old is looking for a Canon T2i or T3i to shoot skateboarding videos. I know it's a long shot, but I wanted to see if any members have one in good condition they want to sell. Alternately, I would be open to hearing about other better options in a similar price range.

What is the price range? Have you thought about an action camera for this purpose or do they want to shoot some good photos as well?

200-300 used for the body and maybe a started lense. He has a GoPro and thinks it's inferior for his purpose, so that's why he's eyeing the Canon.

I have a Canon T2i, though I only used it once for video, I found it difficult to shoot. The T3i on the other hand IIRC has a swivel view finder which should make it muck easier to shoot video mode.

 IMO I would go with the T3i for the above reason.
