Douglas Schroeder of Dagogo.com wanted to review a pair of SS9.5's. He liked a pair of speakers we finished in monkeypod and so we thought we'd use the same veneer on this pair.
Douglas also requested that the caps, inductors and internal wiring be upgraded. So this is not a "standard" pair and are more expensive. But he thought it would be appropriate for his audience.

Have fun Douglas!

These were on the floor when you picked your speakers up.

Very Nice

I remember seeing them now. Very nice looking, but of course I think mine are better looking. Now I don’t know about the upgraded electronics. I’m just glad you didn’t have them set up to compare the sound. Mine sound wonderful but in reference to the movie This Is Spinal Tap, if I need more I could just turn the amp up to 11.
Again your skill is wonderful. Have a Happy Thanksgiving.

Can you share what caps/coils he used?

Mundorf Silver/Oil caps and Goertz Copper Foil Inductors. The wiring to the crossover was also done with 10 gauge Belden wire.

Ah, a bit of Walnut and Monkey Pod. Saw these in person, very nice. But of course, it wasn't a surprise!
