Title: What brand of internal wire do vandersteen models have

It seems the Quatros  have "Audioquest " cables.  Also should internal wiring be twisted?

The below image shows very expensive internal cabling Von Schweikert style....so can the chosen internal cable improve a crossover's performance

Richard loves using AQ wire. Just look at what he used as the wires in his crossovers.  Yes the wire makes a huge difference as do the chosen components of the crossover.
