Title: External speed control for WTL Amadeus Mk II?
Post by: Dazzlingmd on 10 Feb 2016, 11:58 pm
I love the way my table and system are working together, but I can't help but wonder about squeezing out every last bit of greatness.  One thing I recently read about are external devices like the Walker Audio precision speed controller, but there are others as well.  People claim a significant difference on other tables when they added the Walker controller.

Has anyone tried one of these external speed controls with an Amadeus table?  Are they even compatible with the Amadeus motor?

And is the Well Tempered DPS power supply something I should also be considering?  Have people noticed a difference when using that?

My system is an Amadeus Mk II, with a Transfiguration Orpheus cartridge, then to an Allnic nuvister head amp, an Allnic H1201 phono pre, ultimately to Merlin VSM black magic speakers.  It's a very resolving system so small differences are usually pretty noticeable.

Thanks for any input and experience!
