The time to move on from SB had long come and gone. It was a nice ride.

Spotify is not part of my setup in any way.

Still happily using an SB Touch in a second system and LMS is my only server s/w.

Yeah, just saw the announcement on my Touch. Next up - cancel Spotify subscription.

So it's all gone - I click on the *Spotify* button on my Touch and File not Found greets me on the screen.

Quite awesome.  :x

This morning I sent Spotify a letter explaining my cancellation of service. I took the time to congratulate them on the fact that aside from losing a paying customer, they have precluded me from even listening to Spotify *Free*, or its associated commercials.

It takes a special type of forward thinking to alienate oneself from customers, and I let them know that I'm in awe of their ability to do so with such aplomb.

So much for hoping that Spotify would reconsider squeezebox support.

I went ahead and installed Spotty.  Requires beta LMS running on your network (I downloaded and installed 7.9.1 on my Windows 10 machine).

Works well on my SB Touch, although a little slower loading songs.

Now to go to my wife's store and do the same.

Ditto here, using a Raspberry Pi 3 and Picoreplayer program. Actually in my case I think the playlists are loading faster. One thing I miss that Spotty doesn't apparently show is past search history (or maybe I'm missing it somewhere?) Edit, yeah I was missing it. The new program didn't retain my old searches, but did start recording the new ones.
