I own a  vpp1 and am currently using an ortofon om-40 high output mm cartridge. I would like to upgrade to a benz micro Ace m. the Ace m has an output of .8mv.

my question is, how low of an output can I go? will the vpp1 be able to amplify the Ace m, or should I just stick with high output cartridges?

Hi Rick,

The output level of the cartridge is only part of the equation...the gain of the amp/preamp and speaker efficiency also come into play. Call me and we can figure out what will work for you.
