Introduction
« on: 17 Nov 2023, 04:01 pm »
Hi, my name is Mike.  I am new to this forum but have been involved in audio/video since the 70's.  One can google "The Event Horizon Home Theater" to see my exploits in that area.  It was awarded Home Theater of the Month and is rather unusual in that it uses a single bass array configuration along with Danley SM60F loudspeakers.  It solves the bass in a small room issue.

Lately, I have re-discovered 2 channel and have ordered RG Research NX-Tremes.

Best,

Mike

Not my first rodeo.  I built Jim Holtz's sealed Statements https://www.htguide.com/forum/mission-possible-diy/build-stories/29468-mike-s-lcr-statement-build a few years ago prior to building my home theater.  I consider it a bit of a luxury not to have to pull out the table saw, router, etc.  I couldn't be more excited about building the NX-Tremes.

Danley horns. Nice!

If you document your build, I’ll definitely tune in.

Are going with the flat pack or using different material?

I'm going with the flatpack. It's definitely a bit of a luxury to not have to pull out the table saw.  I am thinking of painting the outside this color: https://www.houseofkolor.com/kolors/detail/index.html?id=S2-FBC03&ref=kolors and the inside a matte black.  I also ordered a pair of Triple Threats as OB subs.
