Hello fellow Salksters. Here is a little fan mail concerning a small system I run from time to time. It consists of a pair of Salk WOW1 on stands and an old Paradigm 10" Sub. The little Salks are driven by a Schiit SAGA tube preamp and a Aegir power amp. The sources are an old REGA Jupiter CD player and a refurbed Magnum Dynalab tuner and occasionally a Node. I think the star of the system is the speakers! They do a super job with great soundstage. My main system which I am also crazy about is Salk 3s, one of Jim's 12" subs and Van Alstine electronics (the big preamp and the SET 400) with an older VPI Scout with a Denon 103r. The point of this note is two fold: I am often taken aback by how good the little speakers are, and that Jim and his team continue to be underrated in the HiFi world in my biased opinion (having, after all, spent the money!) Ha! So, if you do order any of them, be assured they are worth the wait.
