bugle 2 and battery power
« on: 12 Jun 2013, 11:23 pm »
If I have 2 x 12v (nominal) battery packs, would it be better to run 24v as a direct replacement for the ac wall supply or create a +-12v supply and bypass the rail splitter circuitry?

I admit I haven't thought this completely through... in fact I just completed the build this morning.

You have your choice with the BUGLE2.  A single 24V will do the trick.  Do NOT connect either side of the battery to ground.  It must be floating.

The other option requires removing U1.
