GR-Research package deals? IE 6.1 etc.
« on: 14 May 2004, 04:48 pm »
Is there any news/information on GR-Research providing package deals for Home Theater setups?  IE 5.1, 6.1, 7.1, etc..

Will there be package deals with pricing incentives?  With or without the new GR sub?

I will complete testing on the new wall mounted A/V-1S as soon as finished enclosures arrive (soon). These will be really cool.

With the addition of these I will offer some complete home theater packages.

Some of which will include the sub and PR.

There will be some price incentives as well.

But don't let my response keep you from voting in the pole. I would really like to here some feedback so that I can know how many are really interested in the package deals.

Looks like you should have the AV1-S cabinets shortly?

Yes I am very interested in a complete HT kit.

Danny,

Do you have a price for the Centurion? And, although this may be separate, but what about the Mini-Alphas made by RAW? Will you sell them, or should we go through him? As an extension of that, will there be a kit with with the Mini-Alphas as surrounds, the Alpha-LSs as mains, the Centurion as the center, and one of various implementations of the subwoofers? What kind of cost (and deals  :D ) are you considering?

Actually I have already received them and have completed testing.

A couple of package deals will be announced soon. If you can't wait then e-mail me and I'll get you a deal right away. There will be some special deals.

No, but I could get you one if you like.

All that is possible too.

If you want enclosures then talk to Al.

There will be, at some point this year, a full line of new line sources that will be geared towards the full home theater system including sub-woofers.

Stay tuned.

Will this new line of line sources exist alongside the Alphas, or will they be a replacement?  Also, when you say that the new line will be geared toward home theater, you aren't implying that they will be somehow less capable for music, are you?

Thanks for the response... I'm not looking to buy immediately so it'll be interesting to wait and see what happens.

It will be the next generation. New driver designs are currently in the works.

Then will not be less geared for two channel.

How about various sizes with dedicated center and surrounds?

Danny,

Will you be providing package deals with the AV series, the upcoming "home theater" series, or both?

Any pricing on say a 7.1 setup (minus subwoofer) on the AV series?

Also is there any ETA on the upcoming lineup?

Yes, and soon.

the upcoming "home theater" series

Don't look for any line source home theater kits until near the end of the year.

Let me know what you have in mind (what models you want) and I will get you a quote with quantity incentive.

A/V series home theater packages are all but done. All that is left is determining some price specifics. All models are in stock and ready to ship.
