New member introduction

Hello,
I've been an audiophile for over 30 years.  How am I just learning about this website now?!

Actually I call myself a "recovering audiophile."  As many years ago I realized that my budget cannot keep up with the hobby.  So I got away from it for a while. But now I am rediscovering the hobby, and the products I enjoyed in my youth - but could not afford - are now available on the used market for pennies on the dollar.  Only problem is that there are fewer stores around anymore to see the toys.

Current toys:
Aragon 4004 amplifier
Marantz 1604 receiver
Martin Logan aerius i speakers (selling tomorrow)
NHT 2.5 speakers (recent acquisition, but currently on the block)
Celestion SL700 speakers - have had these for 25 years.  And they are still amazing.

Looking forward to getting to know this community.
-Peter

Welcome to AC  :thumb:
In recently years I came to a solution or part solution to this prob.

I you get a hi sensitivity speaker as 100dB or more you will can use a inexpensive small tube amp with a sweet sound.

But if you have a 86dB speaker you will need a expensive monster big amp.
As always IMO.
