Just curious, I do, but should I?

I'm frugal, so no I don't.

As long as your well protected it shouldn't be a problem. Tommy says that his gear doesn't need a long warm up time 20 mins or so and your good. When I had my DAC gear I left it on all the time. Years ago I was told to leave my dac on all the time to keep the chips warm. Since then all my digital gear is left on.

Just to distinguish between "on" and "off" the STM - as well as many other DAC products - has a separate power supply. I leave the power supply switched on but turn the amp on and off (to stand by). I've learned that the power supply switch can wear out over time and thus it's best not to continue turning it on and off, just leave it on.

FWIW, I own the 'classic' Cherry amp. Just the single power switch on the back.
Related - does anyone know what my amp draws at idle? A lot or a little?

My 5-CHerry amp is left on all the time and as you probably know the channels go into sleep mode when not in use.

I leave my linear PSUs powered up for my Golden Cherry amps (and the amps do not have the sleep feature).

I leave the power supply on 24/7. My Inline King Maraschinos have the sleep feature, but since inserting a Bluesound Node 2i in my system to feed the DAC DAC HS 1, the amps no longer go into sleep mode. They stay on 24/7 now.
Anyone know how to get the sleep mode to work properly when using a Node 2i?
