The next DC Audiophile Club meeting is happening Saturday, December 20, at 2 pm at Command Performance AV in Falls Church, VA.  As always, these meetings are open to current members, new members, and anyone who is interested in listening to and learning about great audio equipment.
 

New members are always welcome, so bring a friend.

 

This meeting will feature some exciting gear from Art Audio (http://www.artaudio.com) and Laufer Teknik (http://lauferteknik.com). We happened to see this combination at the recent RMAF show in Denver and were very impressed. Bring your own music and see what YOU think.

Representatives of both Art Audio and Laufer Teknik will be on hand to demonstrate.
 
Command Performance will be providing chips and salsa, but you are welcome to bring other snacks / drnks to share.

How did it go?  I keep missing these but it was my mother in law's birthday....

I heard the podium speakers at RMAF and like them.  It would been really good to hear them with Art Audio amp....

The meeting was a lot of fun.  I got there a little late but it worked in my favor.  I got to sit and chew the fat with Art Audio's owner Joe Fantus and he is a pretty cool guy. The thing that was the coolest was listening to all his stories about the music, industry inside stories and musicians he likes.  For instance when I mentioned that the record company Westbound has done a good job on their reissues he launched into a story about how he followed Bootsy Collins to several shows and hung out back stage (just one example) and how some boutique wire can destroy an amp.  Any ways it was informative and fun.
