In a 14'x21'x8' room would there be enough of a performance difference with moving my OB speakers in front of the 14' wall to justify
the cost of new speaker and sub amp cables? Along the 14' wall, the speakers could be centered 3-4' from each side wall and up to 6' out into the room.

Sounds like a very ideal set up to me.

My room size is nearly identical (13x20x8) to yours. I have my OB speakers along the 13' wall about 4 feet from the back wall and 2.5 feet from the side walls. You'll have to experiment to find the ideal placement in your room. Place your audio gear along one of the side walls or in the middle very close to the floor.
