Hello from Kansas
« on: 6 Dec 2018, 04:56 pm »
I have been enjoying reading thru AudioCircle for years and thought it was time to introduce myself.  I am a life long music lover and currently interested in building a new top tier 2 channel audio system.  I appreciate the insights and lessons learned from everyone here on Audio Circle.

Best wishes,
Ken

I am in southeast KS on the Missouri border. What part of KS are you located in? This area is pretty rural, sometimes feel I am the only audiophile in the state, or at least as far as the eye can see, or the ear can hear.

  • To whom more was given more will be required.
    • Never go to a psychiatrist, adopt a straycat or dog. On the street they live only two years average.

Thanks guys.  Call me crazy but I am seriously thinking about building a pair of open baffle speakers like the GR Super 7s or something.  Or perhaps a pair of bass reflex cabinets with full range drivers like the Audio Nirvana Classic 15" Alnicos.

@Steverii
I am in the Kansas City area so not terribly far from you.

Anyone recommend great threads for Audio Nirvana info or anyone have an opinion to share on those?

Thanks

I recommed the Alnicos big cones the 13.6 Bass Reflex box or similar, bigger cone is better to soundstage and sheer ,usical presence. They run at 91dB spl you will need about 20 tube watts to run transients.

This may help:
