AV123 Parts Replacements - Where to go?
« on: 16 Aug 2010, 07:20 pm »
Danny,

Do you have any suggestions where one might be able to go if they were looking for parts that would fit as replacements for AV123 speakers now that they are out of business?

I am in need of one woofer for an X-Omni that appears to be acting up and do not know where to go to buy one.

I emailed them for a warrantee replacement but obviously that is not an option any more.

Thank you for any help that you can provide.

Robert

I just got a replacement sub amp a few weeks ago from AV123 under warranty.  Try this contact phone or e-mail.

You're right!  At least I'm glad to have gotten my replacement amp just in time  :o

No problem, just let me know what you need.

I do have a few X series woofers on hand too.

If you don't over drive them then you should be fine. I know where they are made but getting anything less than a production run might be a problem.

The skiing ninja and Hugh were trying to track these drivers down for a potential mini center and had no luck whatsoever trying to get drivers from the MFR.

:( which particular driver does MFR make?  i had been daydreaming about a bg mid panel (which im prettysure i could make fit physically) buti have no idea what changes would be needed for the x over

I am glad you did, too. Some of us have been waiting months. I have several emails full of excuses and promises, I know others do to. What a mess...    :P

I said screw it and them a month ago and bought an original 2008 V1 from an MCCA Turbo buyer.

This is going to be a popular topic for awhile.

Other people and vendors are stepping up to the plate, but it would be nice to have one place with links to the various solutions - i.e. replacement drvers, sub amps, etc.

I'm probably going to need a replacement for my MFW-15. Seaton?

Good to hear Danny! Thanks - do you already have a solution?

Also wondering about the LS6 - I'm not having any problems, but just in case....

I'm also guessing Sean won't be doing x-overs. I already upgraded to Sonicaps through you, but I keep looking for a little more.  :thumb:

Why do you think Sean won't be doing x-overs anymore?

I have already been stocking LS series kits.

Sean has a new full time job now and doing Skiing Ninja part time. As far as I know though, he still plans to keep assembling crossovers and stuff.

Guess I wasn't exactly clear....

He sold his LS'es and last I heard, he was waffling on LS x-overs. First no, then yes, then he sold his, and no updates in quite some time. I might be jumping the gun, but thats how it looks

Danny, Looks like you have the X and LS stuff Covered.

Guys,  I am working with Hugh to see if Mr.Pu has anything kicking around in the original factory in china for anything ROCKET, MINI, and Onix and am working with Mark Seaton on getting an amp built to be a bolt in piece for the MFW along with the other stuff I am doing already.

Im saddened by av123 going out of business as I enjoy the x-statics.  Danny are you going to be by chance selling the ls4 in a kit by chance?
