Is input sensitivity on Odyssey Kismet adjustable?  I sent a message to Klaus but am also posting the question here.

I ask because a recently purchased a Lyngdorf TDAI-1120 which I’m trying to use as pre-amp/streamer with pair of Odyssey Kismets is resulting in a loud hum.   When I lightly tap or press on the Right interconnect, the hum goes away… temporarily.  It’ll be back a bit later.  I have tried two sets of interconnects with exactly the same results.  The issue is not present with another prior pre-amp so I don't think there's any issue with the Odyssey.  A tech with Lyngdorf suggested I see if it’s possible to adjust input sensitivity on the Odyssey.

I'm far from an expert so the usual caveats apply. From your description it sounds like you've a poor connection to the interconnect socket on the inside of your pre out or amp in. It's less likely that both interconnect have the same flaw than one one component does. When you touch the interconnect so the hum goes away you are doing it close to to which box? The confirmation test is swapping boxes one at a time. Swapping properly working for properly working the hum will not change. Swapping properly working for not isolates the problematic joint. Of course, one needs alternate components to perform the test.

Good luck.

Call Klaus.  It's been a while since I talked to him but back in the day later at night was best.  Good luck.
