RibbonSpeakers.net has agreed to host the first norcal event with his new RM30 system.
We will be hashing out a date soon, maybe a norcal couldn't go to RMAF party?

quite cool....Jim/RibbonSpeakers, did you move from Petaluma recently?

Love to hear the RM-30's....when last I heard VMPS, it was at Big B's (Brian Cheney's) place, and all he played was the RM-40's (which I have heard a few times before).

I can't believe I'm agreeing to this while selling my house!  Next stop is a 8' x 27' x 17' soundroom in north Utah's Cache Valley!

Do it on a Saturday, combined with a real estate open house.  Potential buyers will see a bunch of cars out front and be more inclined to stop in  aa  It's human nature, after all to go where the action is

One last item to schedule first meeting!

I hope this does not disqualify me sponsoring the first meeting here at my place.

Probably up to now only Bill B. heard the specific reason for the delay.  Toward the goal of room symmetry I cut off the arm-end of the right section of my three piece sofa.  (Jennifer Convertibles won't sell a seperate section.)  The right section was much longer than the left, which is a chaise lounge affair.  BTW, the sound did improve noticeably.  I'm a big fan of room symmetry.

I finally rebuilt the frame of the cut-up sofa section yesterday.  The good news is I dropped it off w/ the uphostery lady today & the covering & new seat cushion are reasonably priced.  The bad news is she won't return from vacation till 10/23 Monday, then must complete a few quick jobs then finish my sofa section, which should only be one day or so by my reckoning.

Will keep all updated.  Please someone plan on bringing up a hard-drive based Red Book system to compare to my TRL-modded Sony 900V.  Pray for a cool day so I won't have to run the AC.

This coming up Saturday is the diy festival.
I'll try to hash the date out with Jimbo via pms.
Stay tuned, I want to hear these things before Jim leaves our area...

My sofa should be done no later than Friday 10/27.  I'm thinking Saturday Nov 4 or Sunday Nov 5.  Your thoughts?

John & I hung out together at a little CD player shootout a couple years ago...He's one of the nicest people I've met...How can you NOT like a CHAIR GUY?????????

I'll check about the trade tomorrow morning when my relief arrives...

Bill, I can't believe HD's current plans are to sell new XR1200 in Europe but not in the USA!!!!!!!!!!!  How nutz is THAT?  Isn't that against the Patriot Act?

Your humble correspondent....

I am a volunteer driver for the 4 seasons symphony.
They are having an event that evening. I will have to peel off early, maybe 2.
Europe gets all the good stuff, renault econobox 4wd rally cars, the vr1 street bike, ad infenitum.
Lets build a vrod street tracker, start cruising for a long block motor...

Are you kidding?  Count me in.  I'd jump on a VRSC-powered street tracker in a heartbeat.

My prospective trade will confirm later today.  He says ok pending the CEO's approval.  He wants to moto-cross race that Sunday, so he'll probably work for me Saturday.

I'd like to bring a friend.
If you want me to come before noon and help set up no problem.
Do you have a grill/bbq?
I'd be happy to bring some meat to grill along with a few growlers of microbrew...
