Question about smART DIO BNC connections
« on: 14 Feb 2004, 03:09 pm »
I just recently bought a DIO that has the Boulder smART sticker on it, but has BNC for the digital connections.  When did Boulder change to using RCA for the digital connections?

What digital cable should I be using, with an RCA on one end, and a BNC on the other?

Your thoughts and guidance are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,  Mark

I offered the option of having a BNC connector or an RCA for at least a year. BNC is the only female connector that is a true 75 ohms. A lot of folks do think it sounds better than most RCA connectors.

After I started using Bullet Plugs for the digital cable I pretty much phased out the BNC females. The Bullet plugs on a digital cable sound very close to the sound of the Canare BNC.

I do still offer a digital cable built with RCA on one end and a BNC on the other.
