@TWINSKI66
No updates?
Curious minds want to know. I think I'm more impatient than you are!

No update on my end.  My project is still at 23% (cabinets glued up).  Maybe TWINSKI66's speakers have had some action.  I think he was in the queue before me.

lol....I'm checking just about every day, but I'm being patient.  Jim said that he might still tweak the Encore a bit to get it to where he wanted it.  I told him to take his time and not worry about me.  :)

There has been no posted production beyond the cabinets being glued up.  I'm ok with production delays if it means getting things right the first time.  I'm not overly anxious...since making the decision to purchase....currently using what I have at home (headsets & portable desk top speakers).

I have not received them yet.  My Encores are at 58% (3rd Sealer Coat has been applied).  I imagine it's not going to be long now  :)

With the quoted percentage complete numbers being thrown around I am assuming that there is either a website or automated email update tied into the production reporting at Salk.  If this is correct in some way then I commend Jim for implementing this.  It shows a level of professionalism I have not seen in the lower volume world of hi-fi.  The immediate update and gratification provided to the customer should not be understated.  The amount of hands on time necessary to provide customers with feedback is also greatly reduced.  If I am reading into this incorrectly then I apologize.  If I am correct then I say bravo.  Others should take notice and follow suit.

This is an incredible system, Jim.  I absolutely love the progress tracking idea!

These don't happen to be what you're waiting for, are they?

Dude,

Unless someone else in your community has a pair of Jim's speakers, you've got the bragging rights nailed!!

Oh, and they might sound nice, too.

Congrats!

LOL!!  No doubt.  I'm sure there are people in the Phoenix area that have Salks but I haven't met any yet.  I can't wait to hear them!!  I have a few days to pick out that first song/album  :)

That finish...one word...wow!  Jim & his team not only make awesome sounding speakers...as a side bonus you get to truly own a great piece of 'fun'iture art.  I'm at 58% on the S3Es in the standard curly walnut/dark walnut finish.  But this post isn't about me...thanks for sharing your 'the wait might kill me' journey...enjoy listening to the music man!

Thanks buddy!!  I might have to fake a groin pull and take the day off when they are scheduled to arrive.  I work from home so the delivery part's not a problem.  There should be a FMLA clause for this like paternal leave  :)

Don't worry, I'm not a "thread dictator".  I've enjoyed hearing about your project progress as well.  I'm looking forward to seeing your walnut beauties.  I'm building a stereo cabinet out of walnut.  The wood is gorgeous but my building skills leave some to be desired.  At 58%, your wait will be rewarded soon.
