I would anticipate it being decent, with no brickwalling at 22k.  Why?  Because this latest batch looks like the same titles as WB has had for years on DVD-Audio.  Most of those (except R.E.M., which look like redbook upsamples) have been ripped by us owners long ago, and they show great hirez content.

Thanks, Ted. The DVD-A version must be a collector's item. A used disk is $125 on Amazon.  :o

I downloaded "Hotel California", Carly Simon's "No Secrets", and Emmylou Harris' "Director's Cut".  All sound pretty darned good to me.  The album art is the DVD-A covers if that helps anyone wondering the source.

I use the Bryston BDP-1 BDA-1 combo for playback.

I played the hdtracks dl today - sounds good.  I'll compare with cd later.

Yes, stereo was 24/192, multichannel was 24/96.  There were a few versions cuz there were problems with some disks, including the second batch that wouldn't play the stereo layer.  Anyway, once all was straightened out it became an expensive OOP DVD-A.
