Hi James

Greetings from RMAF, wish you were here.

The mini-t actives are fascinating.

Gary let me play a few of my tunes and I’m still trying to wrap my head around the differences.

But, there is no question, the system sounds fantastic.

Best,
Marc

I’ve been to the room several times now and I am constantly amazed at how good the system sounds compared to other systems that cost many times as much. Gary is doing a terrific job too! He sure is being kept busy by all the people stopping by. It’s a great sounding room!

Awesome rig. Looks nice and neat - and love the Mini's in white.
Looks so cool - and the speakers pointing dead straight - no toe in!
Way to go Gary!!

You’re most welcome, James. Too bad you couldn’t have been here this year.

MEMO: To All Bryston Customers
SUBJECT: Rocky Mountain Audio Fest - October 2018 – Bryston Demo

Bryston was showing off a fully active Mini T loudspeaker setup.

It was very similar to what they showed in Munich, just with the smaller speaker here versus the Middle T Active that they had in Germany.

These Bryston Active systems are always some of the most seamless and resolving 2 channel systems that I come across at shows.

They aren't the most minimalist systems out there, but if you have the space and the desire for elevated sound quality, it's hard to do better.

What surprised me about this particular room was how little the Mini T gave up to the Middle T in the bass department. Bass was potent, deep and tight, very comparable to what I heard in Munich. Keep in mind, much of this is room dependent, but with careful setup, these Active Mini T's will take you quite far.

Speakers are rarely shown with their grills on (because - audiophile), the photo at the top of this thread posted by James Tanner being the exception. Looking good. I like the industrial design simple grill bisected by a line not quite centered vertically.

Oh, and of course they sounded great at RMAF, I can tell that from Tulsa OK 700 miles away (because - Bryston & because - multi-amping with electronics crossovers).

It’s hard to believe the performance jump these speakers took when the crossover went external.”
