My room was built with home theater in mind first, but has slowly moved to 80% 2 channel listening. Room is 23x16x8.75 windowless, concrete floor, thick pad and carpet. Walls are staggered stud 10" plates and likely too stiff because of bad advice LOL. There are 5 dedicated 20 amp circuits for the equipment and 4 dedicated 15 amp outlets. I find that there are some compromises for sure, but I think I have struck a good balance at my current budget. I have been replacing the old Z series Monster and Tara Labs with all Transparent for power and cables which has improved overall resolution dramatically.
