I had a Saab Viggen, with a mere 230 BHP (though people tested it higher) and a lot of torque, and my problem was there was really nowhere to drive it. Most of the roads I travel on have speed limits of 25-35 mph. I found myself doing double the speed limit, and then realizing I was doing that after a while. These are road people walk and take their dogs on. After that, I bought cheaper and slower cars.
Unless you want to go to a track, having a car like that doesn't make sense to me. I watch MotorWeek and my kids love The Grand Tour on Amazon, but I can't see buying a car as a daily driver that has 500-1,000 bhp. I would use maybe 1/10 of that.
