Thanks!

But how can I convert DST compressed .dff files into .dsf or at least uncompressed .dff? It would be nice to have features for entering|modifying tags in .dsf too...

Reextract your ISOs with the DST checkbox checked.

Most modern taggers (MP3Tag, Tag and Rename, players like JRiver) handle DSF files.

Hi - when I try to use ISO2DSD for Linux ver. 3, I get the following error message:

./sacd_extract: 3: ./sacd_extract: Sytax error: ")" unexpected (with both sacd_extract and the gui.jar files set to executable)

or no response if only the gui.jar file is set to executable.

I am on a dual boot MacBook and Ubuntu 14.04, but I think the machine is 32-bit vice 64-bit.  I see below that someone has compiled a 32-bit version.  Would it be possible to try it?

Thanks, Chris

I can send the binary (sacd_extract) compiled. Simply replace the original sacd_extract by the new.
Send me your email.

Dear all
Thanks to ISO2DSD, I can enjoy those HighRez productions and feel the music that I love so much.  :D
I'm so grateful to Jesus, Ted and all facilitator that I'm hesitating to write that I have to face with some unexpected issues with their application.  :thumb:
Still I would like to contribute and make the most of any potential improvements.

1) for unknown reason most of Mozart concertos of the Lausanne orch. conducted by C. Zacahrias (MDG produktion) are not converted from the zip ISO file ( extract from the scad with sacd ripper 0.37) into .dsf or .dff. :o.

2) same thing for a major number of Esoteric sacd.  :o (Only Dvorak by Fournier and Brahms by Backhuas are ok)

In both cases the directory is created by Iso2dsd.gui but only one or even none .dsf file is provided.
Am I the only one in that case ?  :duh:

3) for the Listz selection played by VOLODOS on Sony sacd, it is worse because the sacd extract run on the PS3 is stopped when about 87% of the ripping process is done. Instead of having a zip file I only get from the PS3 an .ISO file which is not recognized on the PC by the Iso2dsd application. Means that I just can't make it playedback on Jriver.

What did I do in the wrong way ?

Please Help !!

Don't see why it would not - I've just used it once (so far) on Windows 7 Professional

The GUI offers a choice of Dual or Multi. I want to clarify the effect of selecting Dual.

My objective is two-channel audio for headphones (on a portable dac/amp). (At home, I play multichannel in our A/V room, on big speakers. In the office, or at work, I would only need stereo, because that's all headphones have.)

So it seems obvious that I should select Dual, but not so fast!

Suppose I have an SACD with a 44kHz stereo layer, and a high-resolution multichannel DSD layer. In that case, if I select Dual, what will it extract?

Should I always select Multi, and then use iso2dsd to extract the channels I want?

Disk is cheap, and getting the iso files is tedious, so I don't want to select an option that throws channels away if there's no reason not to keep them.
