I've finished mine today : Take a look (click on a photo for full size)



With ground +  constant current +  1uF capacitors upgrades - rest all standart parts from mouser.

Right now I'm testing different NOS tubes - best so far : All Valvo, after that  ECC83 RCA + ECC82 Valvo then all Sovtek. Whorst : All RFT.

Rectifier : Dario 5Y3GB and MWT 53KU - no sound difference.

I'm absolutely satisfied with that preamp - sounds and looks great !

What turntable and cartridge do you use with Cornet ?

No, the case is handbuild - made of 2mm Aluminum, sides made of full cherry-wood.

The turntable is an AURA Z1, with tangential tonearm - it's is a small Czech company, who although made the three amps you can see at the photos. http://www.auravos.cz

Cartridge is a Goldring 1042.
