Audio Note Kits Level 4 and Level 5 with Duelund coupling capacitors. These are single bit converters based on the 1865 chip with transformer inerstage coupling and c core output transformers. The only problem is that they only decode up to 48khz, no high rez. They sound better than my other dac's that decode up to 192, so it really isn't a problem. I would say that they sound analog but they sound better than my SOTA turntable combo. The kits are easy to build and easy to upgrade.

I've had Twisted Pear Buffalo III 9018 dual mono and 9028 builds with my SS8's.  Now a single BIII 9038. Twisted Pear Mercury fully balanced active I/V line stage. Amanero USB-Hermes-Cronus Combo input (provides isolation, reclocking). Went simple, no Arduino control this time.
