Any chance of a 12V trigger out on the upcoming V4?

Yes, but it will require the use of a small additional 3rd party device that costs very little (less than $5) that would have to live somewhere nearby external to the V4 board. It would connect to the V4 via a simple 2-wire cable that runs 5 volt power to the device. That power is switched on and off by the V4's microcontroller. The job of the device is simply to boost the 5 volts from the V4 up to the nominal 12 volts used for these types of external triggers. Yes, this wouldn't be necessary if the V4 was powered from 12 volts to start with instead of 5. But then we'd have to add a different dc converter to produce 5 volts from 12. So yes, but....the trigger is just a tad complicated ...but not too.
