Hello, I live in New Orleans, LA ... a GREAT music town as many of you already know ... and am a former musician myself, including founding and managing a 20 piece big band for almost 10 years!
I am "updating" (really rebuilding) my audio system, having given most of my vintage equipment (Merlin, VPI, Adcom) to one of my sons who is a hyper-audiophile. He's a very happy camper, sonically speaking!
My music interests are wide-ranging ... Classic Rock, Jazz, Classical, Big Band, and more. I have a library of about 1000 LPs and 1000 CDs.
My current setup is an Audio-Technica AT-LP120XUSB turntable, Pioneer Elite PD65 CD transport, Peachtree Nova150 integrated amp, and Monitor Audio Silver 500 speakers. Overall, I'm fairly happy with that but intend to replace the amp soon only because I'm not happy with some of its design/operational factors.
