Title: DAC 10H for use for high efficiency speakers?
Post by: Btrmousetrap on 24 Jan 2019, 12:53 am
Hello all,

The NuPrime product page lists the output of the DAC10H as 16 watts. Could it directly power a set of 94-5 db efficient speakers? I apologize if this is a foolish question. As I have stated in other posts, I am trying to learn modern component capabilities and appropriate usage to assemble a new system after many years being away from audio.

Thank you in advance,

BTR

It will make sound for sure, but power amp design is more than just output power. DAC-10H is designed for headphone with different impedance than speakers. No harm trying  :thumb:
