Tempesta, RAAL tweeters, and foam pads

I just made own"pads" out  of some hanger made of metal and cartn.  I found some unused small hanger with a very low profile. I try to see if these would stick to the raal magnetically and it did. So, i flatten the hook and since there is addesive on the back of the hanger, i glue them over a thin carton, it was from the pakage itself, and put them over the raal. They are thin enough so the grill could be put on. The only thing is that the magnetic force is higher then the ones from the foam pads, not sure if this could cause any problems though.
This is a micky mouse job, but i hope we can start from here we our imagination and built some of our own "pads"

The 70-10D is designed to use the pads.

I prefer the sound without pads, my son (who is 30 odd years younger than me) prefers the sound with pads. This might be because my older ears are rolling off the highs.
