Another Bugle battery question.
« on: 11 Aug 2005, 02:13 am »
I've checked the archives and can't find an answer to my question.  I've ordered the Bugle half kit and want to power it with lead acid batteries, and although I've seen that some folks are using two 12v 7ah batteries instead of the stock 9volts, I am wondering if I can use just one 12v 15ah battery with two twin leads instead?
Thanks for any advice.

Nope, need two batteries.  The SLA 12V have proven to be the most popular.

There's another solution, you can try the super low noise regulator section of the HagClock to power the Bugle.  I'm building one up now, will eventually publish a short paper.  Unfortunately, it still requires a pair of batteries or an ac-dc supply like the one normally sold with Bugle.

jh :)
